Davis was a much-admired local artist who died in 2015 of a rare cancer at the age of 32 and the show is garnering rave reviews from the folks who knew and loved Davis, as well as from those who are just learning about him. The retrospective, which will be on view all summer, carries a poignancy that accompanies the work of any person whose life is cut short - what else might Davis have offered to the world had he lived longer?
