The splashy new Diane von Furstenberg show at the Skirball Cultural Center caught a friend’s attention, so we headed out for a mid-week fashion hit. DVF herself leads a life imbued with the values of Freedom, Joy and Love, and her iconic wrap dress has come to stand for those values. I was pretty sure that the show would be fun - what a life and career! What I didn’t count on was that my friend hadn’t been in the Skirball for years, and was impressed by all it had to offer. We stumbled upon two other memorable exhibits, grabbed a quick bite at the cafe, and took a quick peek at Noah’s Ark - a classic LA kid adventure that she will bring her grand daughter back to visit! The Skirball does a wonderful job underlining the cultural relevance of our diverse lives and the exquisite architecture of the hilltop museum makes this an inspiring adventure.
