PST: Art & Science Collide at the Getty
Museums and cultural institutions across Southern California are participating in an initiative that explores the intersections between science and art. The Getty’s early offerings are on view now!
My first glimpse of this fall’s PST ART: Art & Science Collide project was at the Getty Center, the institution that underwrote the $20 million arts initiative. Over 60 cultural institutions in Southern California received grants allowing over 800 artists to explore the intersections and fascinations between the arts and the sciences.
A review of the PST home page explains all the exhibits around the Southland, and demonstrates the many opportunities for visiting these projects over the next few months. I spent a few hours at the Getty Center and got a taste of the smorgasbord that will be on view all fall.
